Ben F. Warner, MS, DDS, MD, MAGD, is a professor in the department of general practice and dental public health at the UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry and an adjunct professor in transition medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. He is an AGD Master, fellow of the Academy of Special Care Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry, International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists, Academy of Dentistry International, Pierre Fauchard Academy, and member of OKU. He serves as a commissioner on the National Commission on Recognition of Dental Specialties and Certifying Boards, and on the ADA test construction teams for the INBDE, ADAT and DLOSCE. He is on boards and committees of the AGD, Texas AGD, American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry, Special Care Dentistry Association, and Greater Houston Dental Society. His research includes oral oncology, mucocutaneous diseases, face/neck skin lesions, and behavior modification methods. Through transformative innovative health interventions, and insightful training of the beginning student and seasoned practitioner, the overall goal is to improve the oral health of persons who are frail, elderly, chronically ill, medically complex, or have an intellectual or developmental disability.
