This course will be a guide to implementing airway, occlusion and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) services for improved patient care and profitability. What is it that successful independent or small group dentists do that differentiates them from the DSOs and most of their competitors? The answer lies in offering services that others simply cannot. Functional dentistry brings the disciplines of airway, occlusal and TMJ services together in a way that can improve outcomes for your patients while adding new procedures for practice profitability. This course will introduce the concept of functional dentistry and how a basic understanding of the underlying disciplines can change a practice forever. A roadmap to understanding and implementing these services will be developed so that dentists can return to their practices with a plan to provide unique and sought-after care.
Learning Objectives:
Understand function as a primary mode of restorative failure.
