This course is a must for all dentists and surgical team members performing implant, periodontal and oral surgeries. Suture materials, techniques and instrumentation will be discussed in detail. Participants will have the opportunity to practice different suturing techniques for specific clinical procedures. All procedures will be performed on pig mandibles.

Learn the fundamentals of wound healing as well as primary and secondary intention healing.
Discuss advantages and disadvantages of suturing for wound closure.
Review indications for using different suture materials and needles.
Practice proper instrumentation for predictable suturing and wound closure.
